SCSEP Virtual Career Network Checklist AARP Foundation SCSEP
The WorkSearch assessment has aided the training and job search process of thousands of low-income seniors through AARP Foundation programs since it was launched, and AARP Foundation is grateful to the WorkSearch team for their dedication to developing and implementing WorkSearch.
VCN and the were developed through a partnership among AARP Foundation, the US Department of Labor and the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). VCN provides users tools to determine how their skills and interests match these jobs and then can explore these jobs through Choose a Career, Get Qualified, and Find a Job sections. VCN focuses on surfacing the top in-demand jobs across the country that match the interests of 50+ job candidates and the appropriate level of education and skill upgrades.
The takes approximately 60 minutes to complete and constitutes an assessment that will be used by AARP Foundation SCSEP project sites to inform the Individual Employment Plans of their participants.

On 30 September 2015 AARP Foundation SCSEP will transition from the WorkSearch Assessment system to the Virtual Career Network (VCN). Once the transition is complete users will no longer be able to access the WorkSearch System.
