Homeless running club takes big strides

It’s the crack of dawn in downtown Philadelphia. A group of men are gathered outside a homeless shelter waiting for the young Ann Mahlum to arrive. But she’s not coming to serve them soup or donate clothes, she’s there to take them for a run.

Back on My Feet is a homeless running club that promotes to those living in poverty. The program breaks down stereotypes and, if enrolled long enough, offers financial assistance and job training to it members. tags along with this forward-moving group that’s leaving homelessness behind and changing lives from the inside out.
