There were no statistically significant differences in the responses of the 800 age 40+ residents and the 200 age 50+ AARP members. For many years, the vast majority of Medicaid dollars for long-term care (LTC) in Arkansas has been spent on institutional care. There has been a proposal to create the Arkansas Options Counseling for Long-Term Care Program to inform people seeking LTC services in Arkansas about all the care options offered in their areas, and factors to consider when choosing services and providers. This survey gauges the opinions of age 40+ state residents about LTC services in Arkansas.
