Got the music in you? Dust off your clarinet, and be a part of a live orchestra. At the Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan, you’ll join adults from across the United States and around the globe, and experience the joy of performing in an ensemble. The environment is challenging, supportive, fun and friendly. Dates: Aug. 8-13 Cost: $545 Now, if money is no object and you wish to release your inner rock star, check out Rock ’n’ Roll Fantasy Camp! It’s a bit pricier, but it’s also a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to jam and be counseled by iconic rock stars. That’ll run you about $4,000.

For those who just want the classic summer camp experience — canoeing, roasting marshmallows, singing campfire songs and the whole shebang — this adventure is waiting for you at Lake Owego in Pennsylvania’s Poconos Mountains. Over one weekend, you may find yourself kayaking, singing in a talent show or just relaxing in a hammock. Dates: June 16-18 or Sept. 8-10 Cost: $349 to $500

Fulfill your dreams of becoming an astronaut by training just like one. This three- or four-day adventure in Huntsville, Ala., allows you to construct and launch a rocket, and test your engineering skills and operate an astronaut simulator.
