Jim Palmieri is a senior strategic policy advisor with the financial security team in the AARP Public Policy Institute. Jim specializes in the areas of Social Security, retirement and financial security. Jim holds a PhD in Economics from Indiana University. He started at AARP in January 2017. Before coming to AARP, Jim was a Professor of Economics at Simpson College in Indianola, IA.
