The Vermont Retired Teachers Association (VRTA) serves the interests of retired teachers in the state. Founded in 1951, VRTA promotes the economic, social, and professional welfare of retirees. Our activities are planned and executed with the good of our members in mind. We support legislation to protect and improve retirement benefits for educators, and work with other groups to safeguard and enhance the interests of Vermont Retired Teachers Association members. We also provide helpful resources to retirees, and host one statewide convention each year to foster the exchange of ideas and information among members throughout the State. Membership dues are $10 per year and we publish the Vermont Retired Teachers Association Newsletter for our members.
