People have many different ideas about what AARP is, and almost everyone is correct. AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization for people 50 and older. We are involved in many different activities, but our single mission is to enhance the quality of life for all as we age.
Whether we are ensuring lower health care costs or working to help you protect your investments, AARP is involved in the nation’s capital, state houses across the country, and the courts advocating on behalf of those 50+ and their families. AARP volunteers across the state are busy helping make changes and providing you with services like the Driver Safety Course (1-888-227-7669). AARP encourages volunteering so much that it started Create the Good. The program encourages volunteering time in your community whether you have five minutes, five hours, or five days.
