Guillermina Gonzalez Joins AARP Executive Council

Currently the Executive Director of the Delaware Arts Alliance, she has served in top leadership roles for Voices without Borders, ExxonMobil, Tetra Pak and Olivetti. She is actively involved in the community and has served on the boards of the Delaware State Arts Council, Delaware College of Art and Design, the Metropolitan Wilmington Urban League, The Latin American Community Center, Girls, Inc., and many others. She helped with Gov. Jack Markell’s “Economy Jobs and Education” transition team and has been a writer and talk show host for media outlets including the News Journal, WDEL and WILM. In 2006, the Latin American Community Center distinguished her with the Award for Community Service.

Guillermina was born in Mexico City and after a solid multi-national career, made Delaware her home in 2001. She earned an MBA from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and was awarded a MA degree from University of Delaware.
