Volunteer Community Medicare Advocate br

If you have 4 or more hours per month to give and are willing to help Mainers understand Medicare and how to protect themselves from health care fraud, this could be the perfect volunteer position for you. Training is provided by your local Area Agency on Aging. AARP Driver Safety Program br

AARP’s course offers a convenient way for older students to take proactive steps towards improving their driving knowledge and skills. When you become an AARP Driver Safety instructor, you’ll teach others about such topics as:

AARP FoundationTax-Aide br

With the help of more than 550 volunteers, the program provides free tax preparation and assistance services to over 17,500 low and middle-income taxpayers in Maine. Special attention is given to clients who are 60 and older.

Would you like to work with our advocacy team and help us engage our legislators at the state house and in our communities? Every week during the legislative session (January-June) our CCTF volunteers take the AARP message directly to state and federal elected officials by advocating for programs and the rights of older Maine citizens.
