Sarah Kelsea Joins AARP New Hampshire
“We are pleased to welcome Sarah and her wealth of community collaboration and outreach experience in nonprofit and government settings,” said AARP New Hampshire State Director Kelly Clark.
In her new role, Kelsea will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to effectively involve volunteers in all aspects of AARP’s work. She will deliver programs and activities to empower individuals with information and education as they navigate the 50-plus years. And she will build and maintain coalitions to deliver on the mission of AARP: to create a society where all people can grow older with independence, dignity and purpose.
Most recently, Kelsea served as Program Director for the Center for Nonprofits, where she designed capacity-building programs to support the work of nonprofits across the Granite State.
She also worked for the Minnesota Department of Health and Human Services, leading an initiative to engage community organizations in identifying and enrolling the uninsured in health care programs. She also served as Director of Community Relations and Development at New Hampshire Healthy Kids, planning community initiatives geared to enrolling children in Medicaid and SCHIP programs.
A native of New Hampshire, Kelsea earned a Bachelor in Sociology and Master in Public Health from University of New Hampshire. She, her husband and son live in Pembroke.
Kelsea replaces Steve Griffin who accepted a field manager position, guiding and developing national campaigns for AARP.
