Telephone Town Hall Issue Forums

First up: Live telephone town hall issue forums with first Chris Dudley and then John Kitzhaber to discuss Oregon’s long-term care system and home and community-based services. These issues are critical to Oregon’s future – not only for Oregon’s seniors and disabilities, but their families, our communities and economy.

Co-hosted by the Campaign for Oregon’s Seniors & People with Disabilities, the telephone town hall issue forums will be:

Chris Dudley
Monday, Sept. 27 – 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.

John Kitzhaber
Thursday, Sept. 30 – 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

This is an opportunity you don’t want to miss! Additional slots are limited, but to join these conversations with the candidates, please just . You must provide your name and telephone number - AARP will call you directly on these dates and times and you can join the calls toll-free. Simply choose the orange "Register" tab and we'll do the rest as phone lines allow.

And if you’ve got a question to ask the candidates on this or other issues, please let us know – . We’ll try to work them in.

Both telephone town halls will also be streamed live here so be sure to check back on Sept. 27 and 30.

Voters Guide

AARP Oregon has also asked the gubernatorial candidates to answer five questions – on health and long-term care, budgeting and taxes, older workers, and civic engagement – in their own words. We’ll post their responses verbatim in early October. Make sure to check back then.

You’ll also find questions and answers from the candidates for Oregon State Treasurer, Oregon’s five U.S. House of Representatives seats, and from Ron Wyden and Jim Huffman in this year’s U.S. Senate race.
