by Donnan Runkel - 11/01/2011 Arizonans interested in sharing information about issues that affect state residents age 50-plus — such as the federal health care law, Social Security and Medicare — are invited to join AARP Arizona's Community Educators Program. After training, these individuals will make presentations to churches, neighborhood groups and community organizations.

Required by legislation passed in 2008, the website — — brings more transparency to the state budget, allowing citizens to see clearly how tax dollars are spent. AARP Arizona joined with other advocacy groups in recommending that the website provide taxpayers a comprehensive, easily understood explanation of where the money goes.
