At the height of their popularity, nearly 4,000 drive-in movie theaters wide-eyed crowds across America. Today, there are fewer than 400. Those left behind are kept alive by a dedicated breed of individuals—folks who understand that going to the drive-in is much more than just catching the latest blockbuster flick—it's a social event that is shared with and on a beautiful summer evening amidst the fresh air and the wistful aroma of hotdogs, french fries and popcorn.
