Happy November Birthday to

Tatum O' Neal Lauren Hutton and other celebs turning 50 60 70 and 80 this month

50 Tatum O Neal

NOV. 5: She won an Oscar at age 10 for Paper Moon and was the little leaguer in The Bad News Bears who then followed the sad script of so many child stars. O'Neal wrestled with drug addiction for decades: She was arrested for buying crack in 2008, and went back to rehab last year.

50 Hugh Bonneville

NOV. 10: He’s the ever-decent, tradition-bound Earl of Grantham on the BBC hit Downton Abbey, a role that’s earned him two Emmys. Catch him in January for the start of season four, and next month in the George Clooney-directed period flick The Monuments Men.

50 Nicollette Sheridan

NOV. 21: The English-born Sheridan found fame on CBS’s Knots Landing and later as one of ABC’s Desperate Housewives. After being killed off (aka, fired from) the show in 2009, she hit the network with a drawn-out and unsuccessful wrongful termination suit.

60 Kate Capshaw

NOV. 3: It wouldn’t hurt one’s Hollywood career to have a husband named Steven Spielberg, as Capshaw does, though she hasn’t acted in years. Her daughter from an earlier marriage, Jessica Capshaw, stars as Dr. Arizona Robbins on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy.

60 Dennis Miller

NOV. 3: A liberal-seeming guy when he started out on Saturday Night Live in 1985, Miller later morphed into a gung-ho conservative whose wry political rants are featured on Fox News. He recently joked that global warming’s good, since “I'm always a little chilly anyway.”

60 Kevin Nealon

NOV. 18: Yes, yet another SNL veteran is hitting a milestone birthday. Nealon has been busy playing an often-stoned CPA on all eight seasons of Weeds, and recently released a comedy special where he discusses why “a chimp attack” would be the worst way to die.

60 Tina Brown

NOV 21: The British-born powerhouse edited no less elite than Vanity Fair and The New Yorker. Now she edits the struggling online pub The Daily Beast, which she’ll leave in January with plans to produce live events and work on a memoir tentatively titled Media Beast.

70 Sam Shepard

NOV. 5: Once dubbed “John Wayne with a brain” by Vanity Fair, the Pulitzer-winning actor/playwright/director won an Oscar as Chuck Yeager in the 1983 film The Right Stuff. He plays Meryl Streep’s husband in August: Osage County, out next month.

70 Joni Mitchell

NOV. 7: The wildly influential folk/jazz/rock musician — and serious painter and poet — is now working with Canada’s Alberta Ballet on a show set to premiere in Calgary this spring. Her website describes the production as “a profound meditation on the theme of Love.”

70 Lauren Hutton

NOV. 17: The girl famous for her gaptoothed smile went from supermodel to actress, starring in American Gigolo in 1980 — then back to modeling at age 46. She’s in Lucky Brand’s fall ad campaign, and recently said she’s writing a memoir she may call Smile.

70 Billie Jean King

NOV 22: The tennis legend won 20 Wimbledon titles and whipped Bobby Riggs’s cocky derriere in 1973. A longtime fighter for equal rights, King recently told NPR, “We’re in this world together, men and women, and we need to champion each other as humans.”

70 Randy Newman

NOV. 28: He’s the multiple-award-winning musician and film-score composer who, to his professed chagrin, is most known for his satiric hit song “Short People” (they’ve “got no reason to live”). Newman was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year.

80 Michael Dukakis

NOV. 3: Massachusetts’s longest-serving governor, here in 2011 with his cousin Olympia Dukakis, the actress, lost as the Dems’ 1988 presidential nominee (we won’t mention that awful photo with the tank). His 80th birthday bash in Boston will raise funds for kids with autism.

80 Larry King

NOV. 19: King has had seven wives and countless pairs of suspenders, worn throughout the 25 years he hosted CNN’s Larry King Live. He’s still interviewing (and lobbing his trademark softball questions) as host of talk shows on Hulu and the cable channel RT America.
