Maura Tierney, 50: After playing the overachieving Lisa Miller on the 1990s sitcom NewsRadio, Tierney was a compassionate doc on ER in the 2000s. Now she costars as a mother of four in a troubled marriage (he cheated) in the Showtime series The Affair.

February 7

Chris Rock, 50: He’s earning thumbs-up for his recent film Top Five, which he directed and starred in, about a comedian trying to revive his career as a serious actor. Soon after its release he announced that he and his wife of 19 years plan to divorce.

February 8

John Grisham, 60: The legal-thriller mastermind’s latest, Gray Mountain, is predictably at the top of best-seller lists. Stunningly prolific, the former lawyer has said his goal is to begin a book every Jan. 1 and finish it by July 1.

February 9

Mia Farrow, 70: In 2013, while the media debated whether her son Ronan was fathered by Frank Sinatra, the actress stayed quietly out of the limelight. She’s a longtime UNICEF goodwill ambassador who’s devoted to helping children in Africa.

Greg Norman, 60: The Australian golf star is proud of his swing as well as his ka-ching: As his Shark.com website notes, he’s earned more than $1 million a season five times while competing on the U.S. PGA Tour. Divorced from Chris Evert, he married Kirsten Kutner in 2010.

Hal Holbrook, 90: The actor spent decades performing as Mark Twain in a one-man show — a unique commitment that was the focus of the 2014 documentary Holbrook/Twain: An American Odyssey. He’ll appear in the thriller Go With Me later this year.

February 18

Dr. Dre, 50: With his $620 million income, the rap star and music impresario topped Forbes’ 2014 list of highest-paid musicians. Last year Apple bought his company Beats Electronics, which sells headphones with “premium sound,” for $3 billion. (Yes, that’s a “b.”)

Jeff Daniels, 60: He’s not just an affable actor starring on TV’s The Newsroom, he’s also a guitarist and songwriter who often performs with his son in the Ben Daniels Band. “It’s not a vanity project,” he told a reporter last month. “I’ll put my songwriting up against many people.”

Kelsey Grammer, 60: The Frasier star will appear as King Herod in the upcoming TV miniseries Killing Jesus. A proud Republican in famously liberal Hollywood, he and his fourth wife, Kayte, have a new son (his sixth child), Gabriel, who was born last summer.

Kristin Davis, 50: Best known for playing the lovely, blue-blooded Charlotte on Sex and the City, Davis has said she regrets how the show glamorized foot-damaging stilettos. She adopted a daughter in 2011 and advocates for endangered elephants.

Veronica Webb, 50: The Detroit-born model broke ground in the beauty biz in 1992 when she signed on with Revlon, becoming the first African American to represent a major makeup line. Divorced in 2009, she has two daughters, Leila and Molly.

February 28

Gilbert Gottfried, 60: The comedian’s distinctive voice landed him the role as the duck in the long-running Aflac insurance commercials. He competed in the current season of Celebrity Apprentice until Donald Trump fired him for telling an “inappropriate” joke during a business presentation.
