Inside E Street’s Lark McCarthy visited the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in Las Vegas. The Ruvo Center provides diagnostic evaluation and continuing care for patients with cognitive disorders, with a strong emphasis on . The facility also provides supportive services for , who are an integral part of its mission.
The Center offers supportive services and programs specially designed for and family members including: social services, education, support groups, counseling and programs for caregiver well-being.
The Lou Ruvo Center was designed by the renowned architect Frank Gehry. Its radical, crumpled, leaning appearance is meant to attract attention to its cutting edge approaches to brain disease. The building has been the object of scorn and praise, but there’s no doubt it succeeds in drawing attention to the Center and its good work.
Back in the studio, welcomes husband and wife actors Michael Tucker and Jill Eikenberry, veterans of LA Law. Lark McCarthy talks with them about the challenge of caring for Jill’s 92-year-old mother, Lora, who has Alzheimer’s.
