You can close an account either online through the Virtual Assistant, or by calling a Fidelity representative at 800-343-3548. You can currently only close brokerage or cash management accounts with a zero balance through the Virtual Assistant. You should call a Fidelity representative at 800-343-3548 to close all other accounts. To change your account name or assign it a nickname log in to your Fidelity.com account and go to Profile. Under Preferences, select Nickname your accounts. The history of your account trading and money transfer transactions is displayed on the Activity & Orders tab on your Portfolio Summary page. Transactions that have processed are stored in the History section. Transactions that are still pending are stored in the Pending Transfers and Bill Payments section. You can access your workplace accounts, including retirement and health savings accounts (HSAs), online through , or through the Fidelity NetBenefits mobile app.
