Sam' s Clubs nationwide are distribution sites for 36 000 canes to veterans

Thousands of U.S. military veterans who need help walking will get it, thanks to donations of new walking canes in a national campaign over the Veterans Day holiday. The program, Hugo Salutes Our Veterans, is in its fifth year and will give out 36,000 blue folding canes to vets for free at all Sam's Club stores nationwide. Sixty canes will be distributed at each location on a first-come, first-served basis from Nov. 9 to 11. "Hugo Salutes Our Veterans is a way to express our deepest appreciation to all veterans for their selfless contributions to our country," said Philip delBuey, president of AMG Medical, the Georgia-based distributor of Hugo Folding Canes, in a press release. To pick up a cane, some proof of military service may be required. Sam's Club membership is not required. Also of interest:
