More than 350 participants that include civic leaders, professionals in aging, members of the business community, caregivers and other interested publics will discuss the number of challenges facing Missouri’s aging population. You’ve Earned a Say conversation will allow attendees to share ideas and comments about strengthening Social Security and Medicare as well as learn about the number proposals that are being debated in Washington DC about each program.

This year, the Summit will also feature specific training tracks related to chronic disease management, stroke rehabilitation, care transition topics and senior center management. Nursing home administrator and social work continuing education credits and certification will be offered.
Kicking off the three-day event will be a keynote address presented by Martha Roherty, executive director of the National Association of States United for Aging and Disabilities (NASUAD). The organization is responsible for educating Congress, the Administration, other state executive branch organizations, advocacy groups and the public on health and social policy issues of special concern to state officials administering programs for long-term care services.
