Here are three to keep your shoulders healthy. Try these exercises three to four times a week, or every day if you can.
Towel Stretch
This will help you open up through the shoulders and gain flexibility within the shoulder blade. Grab a hand towel, hold it with one hand, and with the other arm give it a little tug. Hold for 20-30 seconds, then relax and repeat on the other side.
Cross-Body Reach
Try this exercise to help stretch the back of your shoulders. Bring your arm across your chest and hold. Hold for 20-30 seconds, then switch arms.
Arm and Shoulder Circles
This is great for rehabbing the entire shoulder area. Lean on a chair with one hand so your back is flat and relaxed. Then relax the opposite arm that is hanging down and make small circular movements. Complete 10 circles in one direction, then 10 in the opposite direction. Switch arms and repeat.
