CDC finds surprising differences among Hispanic subgroups when it comes to pain and limitations

Prevent Arthritis and Fight the Pain

Genetics, education, environment and cultural behaviors may play a role, says the Arthritis Foundation's Patience White. The CDC plans more studies of Latinos by subgroup, which could result in targeted treatment and prevention options. Meanwhile, Hispanics can take action to stave off the disease and manage the pain (see tips at right).
