The month of March brings along not only the season of spring, but also some exceptional best buys. From golf and gardening to and crafts, March gives us 31 days packed with savings! March 20 marks the first day of spring, and so begins our spring cleaning. Expect to find deals and coupons on a variety of cleaning products. You also can find deals at stores that specialize in products to help keep you organized. Everything from hangers to complete closet organization systems will be priced to entice you to buy and get organized! New models of golf clubs will be coming out soon, which means stores need to clear their shelves. Now is the time to buy! You will find some great prices on last year’s models. Check with the larger retailers, but don’t ignore your local golf shops. You will be surprised at the deals you will find there, too. March is National Frozen Food Month, and now is the time to stock up! Not only will be offering deals, but you also will find special manufacturer coupons to add to the savings. Make sure you are a member of your grocery store's loyalty program so that you get all the savings at checkout. If you love crafting, you will love this month! March is also National Craft Month, which means deals on supplies and a wide range of crafting events and classes. Check with your local craft stores for details on programs they will be offering. Michaels offers classes for kids, with some for as little as $2 — and that includes supplies. It’s time to start planting, and you can expect to find lower prices on gardening supplies. Add your name to local gardening centers' mailing lists so you are up to date with sales and able to take advantage of any loyalty . Some hardware and gardening stores — such as Orchard Supply Hardware — offer a lifetime guarantee on plants. Always find out the guarantee and exchange program your store offers. If you have been thinking of taking a cruise, catch the end of “Wave Season” and you should be able to find a great deal. Wave Season, which runs January through March, is when many cruise lines offer deals. Some deals are on pricing, while others include upgrades and add-ons. When booking a cruise, make sure you find out exactly what is included. That way, there are no surprises at the end of your trip when you pay the final bill. As the snow starts to melt, so do the prices on ski and winter sports gear. Look for clearance events and even parking-lot sales. Consider buying used gear to really save. Ask if your store offers any trade-in programs that allow you to get a credit toward new merchandise when you bring in your used equipment. You don’t have to be in college to take advantage of Spring Break travel deals. Airlines will start to post their deals early in March. If booking online, be sure to look for coupon codes to save even more on discount travel sites.
