Are you in love? Exploring the world is a fantastic thing! And traveling with the person you love is the best way to take a break from your everyday life, and rediscover your passion. A while ago, I put together a list of the most romantic destinations I want to visit with Dan. We have already managed to explore some of these places, and hopefully soon, we will be heading to another one of these fantastic getaways! These incredible destinations are perfect for Valentine's break, for the honeymoon of your dreams, or simply to spend some time with the love of your life. No matter what the reason is, a romantic trip in one of these 15 places will fill your days with love! Get ready to explore the most romantic destinations (in no particular order!) and spend some wonderful time as a couple!

1 Bruges Belgium

Bruges is a fairy-tale medieval town, and with its lovely squares, picturesque canals and cobbled streets, it really is one of the most romantic cities in old Europe! With its dreamy canals crossing the city center, Bruges has been called "Venice of the North".

2 Ubud Bali

Copyright – The Hanging Gardens of Bali Ubud is the perfect romantic place for every couple that enjoys art, nature, healthy food and creativity. Rent a scooter and ride around exploring rice fields, while discovering the beauty around you. Visit one of the many temples and get lost in the traditional Balinese culture. Enjoy peace and quiet in a beautiful villa or in one of the incredible hotels in the lush jungle that surrounds you. Dan and I loved hunting for unique design pieces in the local boutiques around town. Plus, if you are like us and enjoy eating new things all the time, Ubud has to offer some of the most amazing Balinese food.

3 The  Isle Of Skye Scotland

The Isle of Skye offers some dramatic mountain views and coastal scenery. This fantasy-like landscape will give you plenty of opportunities to enjoy some quality time together. You can spend the day hiking the majestic Quiraing or tour the imposing Dunvegan Castle. As the sun drops, the evening sky will reveal some of the most spectacular sunset imaginable. A romantic stroll along the shore or just sitting together, watching the sun drop behind the hills is the most relaxing and romantic way to spend the end of the day. 4 Padar Island Indonesia

If you are an adventurous couple that loves nature, Padar is the perfect destination! This island dreamscape has incredible white, pink, and black sand beaches. And the breathtaking view you will see after the 30-minute hike to the top will leave you without words! Padar is still quite remote, which makes it the perfect location if you are looking for a paradise island just for yourself. Labuan Bajo is the closest city, and there are tours departing daily for one, two, or three-day visits. The best time to explore the island is from April to June, and from September to November. There are only a few tourists visiting the island every day, making it an incredible place for a romantic adventure.

5 Cinque Terre Italy

Cinque Terre is a unique paradise hidden between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea on the Northern coast of Italy. Its rocky and panoramic footpaths will leave you without words!
It's a fantastic romantic place, and it will remain in your memories, like a dream. Everything about this place screams romance: the food, the wine, the colorful houses, the sea, and the green mountains! We spent a fantastic weekend hiking and tasting amazing food. 6 Kyoto Japan

Kyoto is one of the most romantic destinations to explore with your special loved one. The Kyoto Botanical Gardens have some impressive landscapes and are full of amazing colors in every season: the perfect place to stroll around with your partner. If you manage to visit during the spring, you will be able to enjoy a romantic boat ride along the cherry blossom-lined Okazaki Canal. This will be an experience that you will never be able to forget!

7 The Maldives

The Maldives lie between southwest of India and Sri Lanka. They are known as one of the most romantic archipelagos in the world. Dan and I were so lucky to visit this paradise a few years ago: here you will be able to enjoy white sand beaches, admire a rich and incredible marine life and a crystal clear blue sea, with a color so intense you won't believe is real! You can enjoy snorkeling during the day and then relax on the beach while drinking a glass of champagne and admiring a wonderful sunset in the evening. The colors here will remind you of the most stunning paintings you have ever seen.

8 Neuschwanstein Castle Germany

Neuschwanstein Castle is the real-life inspiration for Disney's Sleeping Beauty Castle. If you want to live a fairytale dream, you have to visit it! It's one of the few places on Earth that looks like a storybook illustration, with its towers, turrets, and frescoes. It's always the perfect time to visit the romantic Neuschwanstein Castle: covered by snow or shining in the summer sunlight, you will always leave with unforgettable memories.

10 Bora Bora French Polynesia

12 Kauai Hawaii

Kauai, known as the garden island, is the perfect romantic place if you want to get away from everything and everyone! No matter what you love to do, here you will find something for you: hike to one of the many waterfalls, spend the day on one of the remote beaches scattered along the island, or enjoy the day lounging by the pool. There's no better way to spend some quality time with your loved one. And Kauai is not the only romantic place in Hawaii: you might want to consider an amazing honeymoon in Honolulu.

14 Venice Italy

We went back to Venice last summer, after a few years and I have to say every time we visit, this city takes my breath away. No other city in the world can compare to Venice when we talk about romance. The landscape here is just so spectacular: it just looks like a live renaissance painting. The hidden bridges, the narrow lanes, and the legendary canals are perfect to be explored with your partner. One of the most romantic things that you can do here is taking a gondola ride with your loved one. Venice is just perfect for lovers!

15 Paris France

Talking about the most romantic destinations, this is probably the most obvious one! And for a very good reason. Paris is one of my favorite cities in the world. No one can deny that Paris is the city of love! Strolling along the Seine, wandering along the streets and grabbing a quick bite at a café are just some of the most romantic things that you can do. Make sure to visit the picturesque Montmartre and climb the Eiffel Tower together!
