But, while there are open-air and outdoor cinemas dotted all over the country, it’s not often you get the chance to visit one next door to royalty. For the first time, the Queen is set to open the grounds of Sandringham Estate to the public to host an open-air cinema event this summer and autumn. On Twitter, The Luna Cinema confirmed that it would be showing films at the royal residence by retweeting the news. Summer at Sandringham just got even better! ? ? The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s second home, Anmer Hall, is also on the estate. So you could be watching a film right next to the Cambridges without even knowing! Getty Images Tickets for screenings have been on sale since 7 May and are worth snapping up before they sell out. The basic ticket costs £15.50, but you can pay a bit more for extras such as luxury seating and refreshments from The Luna Bar that’s on-site. The Luna Cinema will be showing films at a number of other royal settings, including Blenheim Palace, Chatsworth House, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace and Warwick Castle.
