But while we’d welcome the opportunity to treat ourselves to some of Easter’s finest goods all year round regardless, this year in particular marks a particular milestone for the iconic Cadbury Creme Egg that’s definitely worth celebrating – its 50th birthday. Cadbury Yes, we’ve now been tucking into the gooey fondant-filled chocolate delights for an impressive half a century, since their original launch back in 1971, and there are now more than 200 million Creme Eggs sold in the UK alone every year. So to mark the momentous occasion, as part of an event fittingly dubbed ‘The Golden Goobilee’, Cadbury is releasing limited edition Golden Creme Eggs in stores across the UK – and if you find one, you could win up to £5,000. Now if that’s not an excuse to stock up early, we don’t know what is. Cadbury Creme Eggs are available in stores from Boxing Day, and are set to stay on the shelves until 4th, which is when Easter Sunday falls this year.
