YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Fashion Pandora is launching sustainable lab-grown diamonds for the first time By You Magazine - May 5, 2021 Pandora has been a driving force for environment-friendly changes in the world of jewellery in recent years, and the brand’s latest invention is even more proof. Launching its first ever collection of lab-grown diamonds, Pandora’s new line is a major step forward for conscious jewellery. Instagram/@theofficialpandora Officially the biggest jewellery brand in the world, Pandora made a pledge last year to be carbon neutral, use 100 per cent recycled metals and switch to 100 per cent venerable energy in its crafting facilities, all by 2025. The brand has now taken things a step further by announcing the Brilliance collection, its first ever lab-grown diamonds line. View this post on Instagram A post shared by A S H L E Y G R A H A M (@ashleygraham) These diamonds are physically and aesthetically identical to natural diamonds. In fact, the only difference between the two is how they are formed. As the name suggests, lab-grown diamonds are created in a lab, where the conditions in which traditional diamonds grow below the earth’s surface are replicated to result in a similar outcome. Pandora is paving the way as the first giant jewellery brand to take the leap and transition into the world of cultured diamonds. Instagram/@theofficialpandora When brands introduce sustainable options, it usually means that the price of their items go up too, due to the financial difference in creating something consciously. However, you’ll be pleased to hear that it’s quite the opposite in this case, as Pandora’s new lab-grown collection is actually more purse-friendly than their natural diamonds, with prices starting at £250. In case you needed any more convincing, though we doubt it, the collection is fronted by model Ashley Graham and actress/activist Rosario Dawson, who were each chosen by the brand as ambassadors ‘due to their personal resilience and strength.’ View this post on Instagram A post shared by rosariodawson (@rosariodawson) Speaking of the launch of the Pandora lab-grown diamonds line, the brand said: ‘Our aim with the collection is really to democratise diamonds. We pride ourselves as a brand on being inclusive and celebrating all women and so our aim is to offer all women high quality, real diamonds at a more affordable price.’ You can shop the new Pandora lab-grown diamonds in the Brilliance collection at pandora.com from Thursday 6 May.
