This year, the nation’s favorite supermarkets are pulling out all the stops to make sure we have the crème de la crème of festive food and drink offerings to take him. And with less than three months left til the big day, it’s time to think about where to shop for our Christmas spread essentials. Luckily, we’re spoiled for choice. Not only has Marks & Spencer revealed its delicious new range of festive food, all of which is already available for pre-order, but Morrisons has just unveiled its festive offerings too and you’re going to want it all. Morrisons Vegan Pigs In Blankets (available from 27th November) From vegan pigs in blankets to free-from mince pies, the supermarket has something for everyone for 2019. And this year, they’ve blended traditional Christmas foods with alternative dishes so that you can celebrate the festive season with a whole host of different flavours. Morrisons Free From Mince Pies (from 11th November) Morrisons The Best Korean Jackfruit Bao Buns (from 11th December) In terms of party food, the supermarket is selling crispy katsu croquettes filled with sweet potato, carrot and red pepper in a creamy katsu curry sauce, also available on 27 November. Morrisons Katsu Croquettes (from 27th November) For starters, Morrisons vegan pigs in blankets (which cost a mere £2.50 and available from 27 November) are made with jackfruit and chickpea vegan sausages and hand-wrapped in crispy streaky pastry blankets. You’ll also find Korean bao buns to steam at home and fill with pulled jackfruit and a BBQ sauce alongside mixed vegetables with a spicy gochujang sauce, all of which can be bought from 11 December. Morrisons The Best Vegetable Layered Tart (from 7th October) Meanwhile for the main event, their vegetable layered tart made with puff pastry and delicately spiced beetroot, cranberry, onion chutney, butternut squash, spinach, onion and chestnuts (priced at £4) have already dropped in stores. Morrisons The Best Pork & Festive Fruit Stuffing Pies, £3 (from 2nd December) You’ll also find quirky savoury stuffing mince pies – balls of British pork mince atop a fresh pastry base and topped with seasonal cranberries. Morrisons Chocolate & Praline Bites, £4, Morrisons (from 11th December) Morrisons Free From Wensleydale with Cranberries (from 11th December) As for dessert, try the hand-assembled Chocolate & Praline Bites, made with praline-flavoured Belgian chocolate fondant and white-chocolate shortcake pieces, or the Smash Dome, a globe of Belgian milk and dark chocolate with juicy Californian raisins, shortcake pieces and salted caramel pieces, hand-finished with a bronze lustre. You can jazz up your cheese board with Morrisons’ Wensleydale with cranberries and coconut oil as soon as they hits 11 December, and for the truly adventurous?
