From even the quickest of glances as the A/W 19 edit from her new line, Happy X Nature, the answer would be a resounding no – because the pieces are genuinely gorgeous. The Almost Famous and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star launched the collection back in April in the US, and its now available to shop in the UK via Selfridges. But it’s not just the look of the edit that makes it stand out: it’s the ethos, as the entire range is eco-friendly, crafted from recycled materials such as plastic bottles. The name (pronounced ‘happy by nature’, for those wondering), reflects this ethos: ‘We love how nature makes beauty look so easy and effortless. And, that’s been our inspiration for our fashion and for our commitment to the environment,’ Kate wrote on Instagram at the time of the brand’s release. ‘Our goal is simple – making you and nature happy with easy, free-spirited fashion that minimizes our impact on non-renewable resources. But these are classic – not to mention sustainable – buys that will stand the test of time.
