Well, so say the experts at Pinterest, at least, and what they don’t know about fabulous interiors probably isn’t worth knowing. The change of temperature, coupled with the cosy darker evenings and subsequent urge to create a sense of hygge, leave many of us in search of new homeware that makes our houses even more welcoming. And Habitat has just the thing. Habitat Earlier this month, the high-street lifestyle brand unveiled its partnership with London artist Luke Edward Hall. The graphic pieces, which Hall describes as ‘playful, slightly surreal, and very romantic’, proved amazingly popular – to the point where, 48 hours later, the entire line was sold out. ‘Inspired partly by the circus, partly my love of mythology, I have reinterpreted several of my favourite motifs in new ways,’ Hall said of his creations. ‘Faces of imagined characters and long lost statues appear on lamps and fringed cushions, whilst emerald green and sky blue striped velvets adorn a classic Habitat armchair and sofa. Habitat ‘I’ve been a fan of Habitat for many years and I treasure copies of the brand’s colourful catalogues from the 1960s and 1970s. It’s been a pleasure bringing my designs to life with such an iconic British company.’ But if you missed out on the range the first time around, don’t panic – while the limited-edition designs from the first drop are all gone, there’s a second edit being released online this week, featuring more key items like embroidered bed linens and ceramic lamps, including the coveted £200 Head of Apollo table base.
