Meanwhile, on the red carpet, competition was tough when it came to naming best-dressed – but we spotted plenty of women we’d like to nominate…Here’s ten of our favourite TV stars who completely nailed their red carpet look… Ellise Chappell Audi The Poldark actress – soon to be seen in Yesterday, this summer’s much-touted film must-see – shimmered in this dusty pink creation. Billie Piper Getty Images Billie, who was nominated for best supporting actress for her role in Collateral, turned heads in a black one-shouldered blazer dress by Dundas with crystal embellished Jimmy Choos. Paloma Faith Audi Paloma paired her embellished black dress – the split-thigh look was one of the night’s biggest trends – with platforms and pop socks. Ruth Wilson Getty Images Ruth, who was nominated for the leading actress award for her part in Mrs Wilson (based on her own family’s history) looked stunning in her Alessandra Rich look, complete with a plunging neckline. Shirley Ballas Audi Strictly Come Dancing’s head judge looked magnificent in monochrome – and even gave a little twirl as she presented an award with Joe Sugg onstage. Suranne Jones Audi Soon to be seen in the highly anticipated Gentleman Jack, Suranne looked stunning in her blazer-stye cape gown. Phoebe Waller-Bridge Getty Images The star – whose TV show Killing Eve was the hit of the evening – looked flawless in her duck egg blue gown with cape sleeves. Daisy May Cooper Getty Images This Country‘s Daisy May Cooper wore a bin bag dress (complete with pigeon headdress) designed by her mum, explaining that ‘I decided I would donate the money I would spend on a normal dress to a food bank – and come in a bin bag’.
