Launched in 2017, the Next-created line creates gorgeous one-off collections in collaboration with emerging designers and niche brands. With a particular focus on craftsmanship, the pieces are usually pitched at slightly higher price points than the expected Next ballpark. But, when the overarching style is statement but timeless, classic items with something a bit special about them, these are investment pieces worth cherishing forever. Plus, because the collections are edited by Next, each one works like a standalone capsule wardrobe, ready to be worn together or mixed in with your existing wardrobe – your choice. Next Designed exclusively for Next, the Label/Mix collections are a great way to get designer pieces for a fraction of the price that can’t be found anywhere else. Previous collections have been created with Laura Jackson and Hill & Friends, but the latest one has really turned our heads, as it has been created in partnership with Samantha Cameron’s own designer clothing brand, Cefinn. Samantha (of David and Samantha Cameron) launched Cefinn in 2017, after having held the position of creative director at Smythson, the luxury leather goods brand. Named after the initials of her children, her contemporary designs offer stylish options for modern women that effortlessly go from day to evening. Her collaborative collection with Label/Mix brings that same effortless style to the rails of Next. Full of easy to wear pieces, from dresses to blouses, the collection features bright, primary hues, delicate dotty prints and contemporary silhouettes. From floaty styles to sharper lines, each piece has the ability to be dressed up or down with the right accessories. The emerald green jersey midi dress with tie waist belt would be the ultimate workwear wardrobe hero, while we’re crushing hard on the postbox red dotty wide leg jumpsuit.
