YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Celebrity A musical comedy about Meghan Markle’ s life will be aired by the BBC this Christmas By You Magazine - December 10, 2018 Meghan Markle is undoubtedly the world’s most talked-about woman right now. From her scene-stealing wedding (which drew in an alleged 18 million Britons who sat watching at their TV screens), to her tour of Australia and the big pregnancy announcement, she’s been 2018’s star. So it comes as no surprise that the BBC is set to broadcast a musical comedy about her life so far over the festive period. BBC Radio 4 is due to broadcast a 15-minute musical comedy show entitled ‘The Sixth In Line to be King and I’ on New Year’s Day. The show will celebrate Meghan’s life so far, and is going to feature radio actors who will ‘look ahead to what promises to be an exciting 2019 for the happy royal couple as they expect their first child in the spring,’ The Telegraph reports. Getty Images The show will be presented by the actors who usually star on the show: Pippa Evans, Dave Lamb and Richie Webb. Pippa will be playing the lead role of The Duchess of Sussex. It is said that Kensington Palace has not been consulted prior to the show, regarding permission or the contents of the story. The 15-minute musical show is known for its tongue-in-cheek performances and political satire. Previous episodes have included one entitled ‘Jeremy Corbyn Superstar!’, ‘Cabarexit’ and ‘The Legend of Holy Superior Mother Theresa May and the Magic Money Tree.’ Getty Images Along with the episode about Meghan Markle’s life, there will be a second 15-minute musical on New Year’s Day called ‘Eurostars’. This edition will revolve around a Eurovision Song Contest style event from ‘our non-Brexit-obsessed counterparts on the continent as they look back on their action-packed 2018.’ We can’t wait to see what will be included in the telling of Meghan’s life story.
