The feud reignited in August when Taylor released her comeback single Look What You Made Me Do which included what appeared to be several references to Kanye West Genius Then when the video was released Taylor portrayed a character who took selfies and edited receipts – references which were widely assumed to be about Kim Big Machine Records Not only is she the queen of selfies, but the audio of the phonecall between Kanye and Taylor leaked on Snapchat by Kim wasn't released in its entirety, leading to people accusing her of "editing" the evidence. And Taylor then appeared to reference the whole ordeal again with the track This Is Why We Can t Have Nice Things on her album Reputation released in November Genius This verse in particular includes lyrics about giving a friend a "second chance" and being "stabbed in the back." Many people took the lyrics as a reference to the phonecall about "Famous" in which Kanye told her some of the song's lyrics, but not the use of the words "that bitch." In other words, he "stabbed her in the back" by using that lyric after "shaking her hand" about the others. And, of course, the mention of a phonecall is exactly how the drama between her and Kanye went down.
