It was a good show for the first six seasons, and now it's just an empty shell of what it was. — Katie Mech, Facebook Grey's Anatomy jumped the shark when George died. End the madness, it needs to be done. — maegana44b9c1e1f 2 Pretty Little Liars 2010-2017 Freeform After season four it went downhill real quick. At the end of it all, so many plotholes were left unresolved. I honestly think the writers were struggling so much to come up with a good consistent story that they started throwing random things together for shock value and didn't stop to think if it made any sense. They then forgot these storylines and over time so many went unresolved. They turned a once great show into a sloppy mess. — Kristin Johnston, Facebook 3 Scrubs 2001-2010 NBC I can't convey how much I love this show, but that ninth season was absolute trash. I'm a big believer of "when you love something, set it free" when it comes to TV shows. — delaneypeterson9601 It had an amazing eight seasons and they even had a two part finale show that was beautiful, meaningful and tied everything together. But for some reason, they came back with a ninth season that was not only horribly cheesy but barely had any of the original cast in it. I honestly don't consider that season part of the show. It was truly awful. — iloveyoueven7305 4 The Walking Dead 2010-Present AMC It should have died years ago. It became too boring and then too violent as an attempt to bring back the viewers. — Tali Meirav, Facebook I stopped watching it a couple of seasons ago, when it just became about which main character they were going to kill off next surrounded by a bunch of boring shit. — Phil Vaive, Facebook 5 Glee 2009-2015 Fox The first three seasons were emotional and funny and just all around great. But eventually there were too many stories to keep up with and so many inconsistencies in the plot lines. It got to the point where I felt the show was just ridiculous and stopped watching. — Amanda Honeywell, Facebook 6 The Big Bang Theory 2007-2019 Warner Bros The fucking Big Bang Theory. It's always been kinda mediocre but it became really, really unfunny after season eight. I’m so glad they’re finally ending it next year. It’s long overdue. — zainaba48616c770 7 The Vampire Diaries 2009-2017 The CW They were out of ideas from season five, yet still dragged it out because it was popular. Plots were full of holes, character development decreased and every character was killed off and brought back to life so many times that nothing was exciting anymore. I wish they had just ended it at the point when it was still good. — n423704101 8 Dexter 2006-2013 CBS I loved that show for the first three to four seasons but around season six, things just started getting too far fetched and almost...boring? Before, it had been dramatic and interesting, a new perspective on "vigilante" serial killers, but eventually the show runners were flogging a dead horse. Dexter's final seasons were a train wreck, and ultimately ruined the show for me. And the series finale? Don't even get me started on that. — StarBoy100 9 Once Upon a Time 2011-2018 ABC Once Upon a Time was a cash cow for Disney, but man it jumped the shark when it came to storylines. The first season was great, I enjoyed the first half of the second but after that I couldn't watch the awkward storylines. Why did everyone have to be related?! — v45be1af10 While it's one of my favourites, looking back the creators should have just ended the show at season four instead of continuing on an additional three that included the "reboot." If I wasn't so invested in the characters and their stories, I probably would have stopped watching a long time ago. — lightheart16 10 The Office 2005-2013 NBC I know some people may disagree, but once Michael left, and everyone’s lives were happy, they should have ended it. Seasons eight and nine just felt forced. — randomfandomtrash They had a great run but the last few seasons were a bit weak. "Goodbye Michael" was so beautiful and would have been a great, unique finale. — psychicmuppet 11 Scandal 2012-2018 ABC It should have ended the season before Olivia was kidnapped...just stop. — Emily Butler, Facebook 12 Heroes 2006-2010 ABC It should have just been the first season. It needed nothing more. — leahp47867d3c7 The first season was incredible, second season OK. As Sheldon Cooper says: "They gradually lowered the quality season by season until we were grateful it ended.” I applaud anyone that made it beyond season three. — jonathanf4d122f98b 13 Weeds 2005-2012 Lionsgate It started out as a funny, edgy dark comedy where you liked the family and rooted for the main character. By the end, the protagonist was one of the most unlikeable characters EVER on TV. Stop after season three, trust me. — kcas15 14 The Simpsons 1989-Present Fox It stopped being funny after season eight. Just give it up already. — michelel449f07405 15 New Girl 2011-2018 Fox The first five seasons were really good but after that everything was just so forced and cheesy. It lost all of its genuine humour. — hayrenhag I hate to say it, but New Girl. It just stopped being funny towards the end. If I laughed once during an episode I was shocked. — Tracy110302 16 13 Reasons Why 2017-Present Netflix It should have ended immediately after its first season. Season two was basically the first season told from different perspectives, yet was somehow worse than season one. It was just a giant mess of uninteresting subplots and unoriginal ideas and I can already predict the third season without Hannah will be dumb. — gauthama2 17 How I Met Your Mother 2005-2014 CBS I think we all agree the final season was a whole mess and should never have happened. — doggolove Considering they were always going to end it with Ted and Robin getting together, they dragged that shit out for ages. — blahblahland 18 Gossip Girl 2007-2012 The CW It went on for far too long, and got ridiculous. Outside of same sex relationships, they all dated each other. I loved it at first but It should have ended long before it did, with Georgina or Dorota beeing GG, not bloody Dan. — Sam Walker, Facebook 19 Modern Family 2009-2019 ABC It used to be brilliant and consistently funny. Now, the kids are grown and just isn't what it used to be. — leahp47867d3c7 It used to be my favourite show, but now it's filled with dry humour and much less likeable characters. I can only rewatch the first few seasons where the storylines were actually funny! — rocky12 20 The OC 2003-2007 Fox The first couple of seasons were so amazing and unlike other shows on TV at the time. But they should have stopped at season two. After that point, it seemed like the writers simply ran out of ideas, storylines became ridiculous and don't even get me started on Marissa dying. — Amy Walker, Facebook It went from being amazing to unbearable. — Katherine Eliz, Facebook 21 Supernatural 2005-Present Warner Bros I love the show, but season five had an absolutely perfect ending with Sam overcoming Lucifer. I cry every time I watch it. But they cheapened it by taking that all back. There were great individual episodes after, but no finale they come up with now could match that one. — Lauren Henrikson, Facebook My god, that show should have ended at season five like it was supposed to. It’s so boring now. We get it — y’all die, oh wait, you’re not dead. — paigel4a79d5613 Want to be featured in similar posts Follow the BuzzFeed Community on Facebook and Twitter Share This ArticleFacebook PinterestTwitterMailLink BuzzFeed DailyKeep up with the latest daily buzz with the BuzzFeed Daily newsletter! This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
