Of course, it's meant to be cringeworthy but for me that's the only moment in the show that's truly uncomfortable. — michaelg43e0651f7 I've always said that it's by far the cringiest episode of the whole show — and that's quite an accomplishment. — Samantha Magee, Facebook 2 The musical episode of Grey s Anatomy ABC Studios It was an extremely stressful episode with Callie almost dead with a baby on the way, yet I had to keep listening to the surgeons breaking out in pop tunes every three minutes! — naomiz426d5a854 3 And when Meredith begs Derek to be with her instead of trying to fix his marriage ABC Studios It was the whole: "Pick me, choose me, love me" speech that made me cringe. The majority of people found that soooo romantic, but if he really loved her at that point, there was no need for her to beg. — rrobledo 4 The scene in How I Met Your Mother where Ted lets go of Robin 20th Century Fox 20th Century Fox He "lets go" of Robin and she "flies away." It's a really important moment ruined by horribly cringeworthy CGI. — Evielindsayx 5 Archie and Veronica having sex right after her dad was shot in Riverdale Berlanti Productions Right after Fred Andrews gets shot, Archie and Veronica have shower sex. It's completely weird and the absolute worst timing. I know that if my dad had just gotten shot, sex would be the last thing on my mind. — bcg94 6 And when Veronica referred to her relationship with Archie as end game Berlanti Productions NOBODY ACTUALLY TALKS LIKE THAT, VERONICA. — QueenOfFuckingEverything 7 Ross and Monica s relationship in Friends NBC I love that show so much, but the way they act with all the hugging and kissing, especially in the first few seasons, really makes me cringe. — Niknak119 Monica was so interested in Ross's sex life and it was just gross. They were too close. — Rebgw 8 And the episode of Friends where Joey learned French NBC It's just too stupid, even for him. — k4d832eac8 9 The scene in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince where Ginny ties Harry s shoe lace for him Tap to play GIF Tap to play GIF Warner Bros I think it was meant to be sexy but it was just toe-curlingly cringey. — freyar48f58cc99 Book Ginny would never have done that shit. She'd either trip him or tell him to tie it himself. — Tori Roberts, Facebook 10 The racist jokes in Sex and the City 2 Warner Bros There were so many cringeworthy, ignorant and just plain dumb jokes about Muslim and middle-eastern people. For example, Samantha describing her butler by saying in an exaggerated middle-eastern accent: "His name is Abdul — like Paula!" before proceeding to call him "Paula Abdul" for the rest of the movie. — rustyshack567 11 The American bar scene in Love Actually Universal Pictures It's so cringe-worthy, over the top with such bad acting that it almost feels like it belongs in one of those stupid teen parody movies. That whole segment could have been cut out because it was so out of place in an otherwise good movie. — b467514730 12 When Skyler does her best Marilyn Monroe impression to sing Happy Birthday in Breaking Bad AMC I literally cringe so bad and can’t watch that scene without looking away. — samanthah4a765b9d4 13 When Adam said this in No Strings Attached Paramount Pictures I audibly groaned in the theatre. — b43541c362 14 The abstinence speech in 17 Again New Line Cinema I cringe so hard at the scene where Zac Efron's character gives a speech during sex ed about abstinence. He makes it so weird, talking about turning your love into a beautiful baby girl. — Chellert 15 When Jess and Robby found out they were related in New Girl Fox They found out they were cousins and realised they played together at family events as kids. Me and everyone I know stopped watching New Girl after that. The fact that they were third cousins may not have been illegal I guess, but it didn't make it any less cringeworthy. — HannaMcG 16 The musical segment in the Gilmore Girls revival Netflix That weirdass scene where Rory and the life and death brigade are running around in steampunk clothes to a Beatles song cover. WTF was that? Every minute of that revival was garbage, but that section was especially horrible. — Margaritaluv 17 The sexist line from Toby when CJ took over as chief of staff in The West Wing NBC In the press briefing after she's been announced as the new chief of staff, Toby is questioned about her national security experience. He says: "But in the event they lose their way, the president can send C.J. Cregg to Ramallah to swat at suicide bombers with her purse." I think I physically felt my soul leave my body as my mouth hung open. — badwolf03 18 The conversation about sexuality in The Family Stone 20th Century Fox Sarah Jessica Parker's character is trying to be a part of her boyfriend's family's conversation and chooses to speak up when his brother's sexuality is mentioned. She unintentionally insults him by saying that no parent would want a gay child. She then tries to apologise, but everything that comes out of her mouth makes things worse. The scene is important for the plot, but I always have a hard time watching it. — brieannad 19 When Sheldon calls a black HR director a slave in The Big Bang Theory CBS CBS He's brought to Human Resources for saying something derogatory towards women. Sheldon then says to the black female HR director: "All women are slaves to their sexual desires. Even you! You're a slave!" It's the absolute worst cringey moment for such a cheap laugh. What an awful show. — JessBruso 20 This line from Christian in 50 Shades of Grey Focus Features I couldn’t watch anymore after that line. — Liz B 21 And finally this line from Edward in Twilight Summit Entertainment It makes my whole body cringe. Finding out that it was one of many choices for that scene makes it so much worse. How bad were the other lines that THAT is the one they chose?! — SForsgren1 It doesn’t make any sense and I hope Robert Pattinson demanded a raise for having to say it. — chelseaf484908ac9 Want to be featured in similar posts Follow the BuzzFeed Community on Facebook and Twitter Share This ArticleFacebook PinterestTwitterMailLink TV and MoviesGet all the best moments in pop culture & entertainment delivered to your inbox. This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
