Both branches have intricate courses, incredible street food from vendors like Breddos Tacos, and many lush cocktail bars (City has a gin terrace!). Dressing up on the 31st Oct and Nov 1st as a classic horror character earns you a free Pumpkin Punch cocktail and both venues which are normally famed for their charming 1920s vibe, will be transformed into "haunts of the supernatural". Tickets for one round of mini golf start at £10pp with locations in City and West End. 2 Visit the 18th-century by exploring Dennis Sever s house Liverpool St View this photo on Instagram instagram.com If you take a tour of Dennis Sever's house brace yourself, because you will literally be transported back 200 years – sights, smells, and all! Sever was an artist who meticulously recreated the home life of a family of silk weavers, the idea being that when visiting the house you were immersed into their world, "interrupting" it if you will, experiencing life as the original occupants of the house may have done. If time-travelling to another century through the exploration of ten perfectly preserved rooms is your idea of a Halloween well spent, then you can find booking information here. 3 Brave a ghost tour at Hampton Court Palace Hampton Court View this video on YouTube youtube.com Let me start by saying I went here last year and it was creepy AF. I love Hampton Court Palace, it's super interesting and absolutely beautiful, but late at night it is pretty damn creepy. The tour is super interesting if you like your history dark, and you'll get to see the exact place where the reported ghost that haunts the castle likes to linger (see video). The bedrooms are the scariest bit though, and there's even a part of the tour where you have walk down a very dark corridor alone, so it's not for the faint-hearted! Tours run on selected dates (including Oct 31st) till February and you can get more info and tickets here. 4 Visit the Viktor Wind Museum of Curiosities in Hackney View this photo on Instagram instagram.com If you want to spend your time looking at a bunch of random things, sort of like going to the most bizarre car boot sale, then look no further than the Victr Wind Museum of Curiosities from The Last Tuesday Society. From amusing toys to doodles from prison inmates, there's so many strange and interesting bits and bobs to peruse. What's more there's even a stunning cocktail bar to sip inventive drinks in afterwards! Admission costs just £6 and even includes a cup of tea upon request! 5 Test your smarts with the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry escape room at Enigma Quests in Liverpool Street enigmaquests.london Hands down one of the best escape rooms in London, the "School of Witchcraft and Wizardry" is a magical hour where Harry Potter knowledge isn't even necessary. Telling you about it would give it away, but let's just says that the set is great, the puzzles are interesting, and the surprises are bloody cool! A very satisfying activity that will make you feel like you actually did something productive, if that's your bag. Tickets cost £30pp and you must have a team of minimum three players. 6 Have a Halloween-themed afternoon tea on a bus with Bridget s Bakery Afternoon Tea Bus London Bus Tour View this photo on Instagram Instagram: @undefined If you just want to eat sandwiches and cake around London, then a Halloween-themed afternoon tea on a bus around London might just be the perfect way to celebrate October 31st. Feast on seasonal treats such as pumpkin tartlets, or if you're feeling brave, edible insects are on offer too! Halloween bus tours run from the 28th Oct-2nd Nov and you can get tickets here. 7 Indulge in pizza bottomless prosecco and one of the best movies of all time at Lost Boys Pizza Camden Lost Boys Pizza This spooky-all-year-round pizzeria takes it up a notch for Halloween but is still low-key AF. For £35 you'll get a spooky pizza (black charcoal crust OoOoooO), bottomless beer or prosecco, and a screening of "The Lost Boys". The event runs 28th Oct - 2nd Nov and you can purchase tickets here. If you're looking for something a bit more party party, then they're also hosting, well, parties. 8 Go see The Woman in Black at The Fortune Theatre in Covent Garden View this photo on Instagram instagram.com Why go see a horror film when you can go see one of the scariest plays of all time? The Woman In Black is a stage classic, the spooky boy of theatre, plus you get your thrills the cultured way. Tickets start from £20 and you can book them here. 9 And if you can t be bothered to do any of that and just want a few drinks down the pub then at least go to a one with a very spooky history like the The Ten Bells in Spitalfields View this photo on Instagram instagram.com If activities or tours are just not your thing and you want to do some good old-fashioned pubbing while still having some of that Halloween spirit, then The Ten Bells is a great option. It's a brilliant pub anytime of the year, but knowing that it was the place frequented by three of Jack the Ripper's victims, makes it particular perfect for spooky sipping. You can find out more about the Spitalfields institution here, and to visit will only cost you a pint (or a round...)
