She has arrived! This episode was the absolute tea. It had wayyyyy more similarities to the American show with the talking heads, wiping the mirror, and everybody cussing out each other out. The challenge was engaging and the runway and lip-sync were super polished and fun! Jeff: Let's talk about Crystal's armpit hair. I. Am. Obsessed. No lie, when they announced they were making a UK Drag Race, the first thing I said was I hope they have queens with body hair on the show. It's such a unique element of the UK drag scene! I'm honestly living for it – keep it up, girl! Okay, back to the show. Week one was a great premiere for UK Drag Race. It was still Drag Race through and through, but with British flavour. I think episode two lived up to expectations also. Now let's just hope the rest of the season does! The shade is knee-deep already Tap to play GIF Tap to play GIF BBC / Via giphy.com Sam: So The Vivienne hates Cheryl Hole, that much is clear, but I'm still rooting for Chezza. Everyone was reading Scaredy Cat to FILTH, which felt a little mean to me, but the drama was super fun to watch. Jeff: Cheryl, Cheryl, Cheryl. I've seen her perform a few times around the UK and I've been blown away by her, so I was so excited to see her on this season. But it seems as if some of the other queens don't quite feel the same. It's clear Divina is SO over her. I'm sensing production may be setting up some drama for a possible future lip sync. That being said, I actually really appreciated the chat during the "untucked" segment. I love how motherly Vinegar is and how she was saying she still hasn't seen the real Cheryl yet. I think that tough love got through to her. Was this the cruellest mini-challenge EVER BBC / Via bbc.co.uk Sam: Front-runner The Vivienne got to line everybody up in the order which she felt they are competition for her. She put Cheryl SECOND TO BOTTOM - the gag! Jeff: Wait... did she really just pick Vinegar as the top? Of everyone!? Surely that was just because people like her the most right? Don't get me wrong, I want her to be in the top, but it's pretty shocking to pick a bottom two queen from the week before as the top queen out of everyone else. However, I think I agree with the rest. Baga, Crystal, and Divina are definitely in the top half. Cheryl, Blu, and Scaredy are definitely in the bottom half. A right royal maxi-challenge BBC / Via bbc.co.uk Sam: i joked about there being a Downton Abbey challenge but here is it! This was a real test of everybody's skills in line-learning and character acting, which was great to see. Baga, Divina, and Vivienne excelled, although it's fair to see everybody struggled with their lines,. Unfortunately, ma girl Sum Ting was a little lacklustre and ironically Vinegar didn't pop either! Look queen Blu Hydrangea fell hard, which was a shame bc she's so sweet! Jeff: The Good: The Vivienne and Baga to the front, yet again. The Vivienne can transform into absolutely anyone, and, do it well. I cannot wait for her Snatch Game. Same with Baga; she is fucking hysterical – I was cackling at everything she said and did! Even when she messed up she was hilarious. They're both ones to watch. The Bad: Scaredy's whining was honestly getting to me. I couldn't take it! But neither could Michelle and I was here for that. That may have been the shadiest looks I've ever seen Michelle give. I think she spoke for the nation when she said "I would slap you". The Aww: When Sum Ting started twitching because she couldn't get her lines gahhh I felt for her! She's so real and she just seems like someone I'm already friends with. Pussy Galore on the runway BBC / Via bbc.co.uk Sam: I LOVED this runway, although it did sail a little into Bond Villain instead of Bond Girl. Crystal and The Vivienne's looks slayyyyed. Generally, it was a really strong runway, which is great to see so early in this show. Shout out to Crystal's whip and Blu's multiple mammaries! Jeff: I continue to be more and more impressed with The Vivienne. She just looks so polished! Her look wasn't necessarily anything unique or new, but the way she pulled it together – she knows what she's doing! Baga, yet again, had me absolutely cracking up. I just love her personality so much. She could honestly come out in a trash bag (read: bin bag) and as long as she brings her energy to the stage, I'd still love it! Cheryl... she really needs to start being herself and stop trying so hard! Divina looked on point but her Street Fighter moves were honestly giving me Gothy Kendoll's tiger roar vibes! And Scaredy's "Bang Me" reveal was cute in theory, but her "I'm the shit" attitude just ruined it. She could learn from Blu – that triple boob 007 reveal was fantastic! Downton Draggy exclusive world premiere Tap to play GIF Tap to play GIF BBC / Via giphy.com Sam: Classic acting challenge nonsense script but certain girls really brought it to life, namely The Vivienne, Divina, Baga, Crystal, and – dare I say, Cheryl Hole. I lived for that stupid wig and accent! Sum Ting had the energy but she kind of missed the point. But no one was worse than Scaredy Cat – Farrah Moan on steroids much? I lost my wig at all that workroom drama BBC / Via bbc.co.uk Sam: They just love to hate Cheryl, don't they? Poor Cheryl! I personally love her confidence and I do feel like some people might be jealous. On another note, I really enjoyed Sum Ting, Scaredy Cat, and Vinegar's confessional chat about being LGBTQ and doing drag. It was really touching to see how nice they are to each other and Blu as well! This was your first ever lip-sync Tap to play GIF Tap to play GIF BBC / Via giphy.com Sam: There's something highly audacious that I find lowkey offensive about Scaredy Cat treating Drag Race as her first gig. I mean, I'm not about to tweet snakes at her but this is the Olympics of drag and you should come to the competition prepared! That being said, the lip sync was amazing and Blu really brought it home. She gave me old skool India Ferrah/Alexis Mateo vibes, which gave me life! Jeff: What on earth was that? First of all, Scaredy Cat having never performed before – seriously? You were so cocky that you didn't even practice/try to get experience before coming on the show? It's worse than when queens come on saying they can't sew! But even Blu's performance wasn't great. I have a feeling we're going to have some extremely disappointing lip sync's this season. What on earth will happen next week Tap to play GIF Tap to play GIF BBC / Via giphy.com Sam: Next week is a design challenge, so I'm afraid to say Vinegar will fall flat on her unbeat face. Possibly The Vivienne and Cheryl will come to blows, or they may string it out for longer. And I'm still waiting for Divina to crack! Jeff: I don't have a great feeling about Cheryl's design skills, and after we saw Vinegar's attempt at the Thames, I'm not too confident in her either. I really really don't want those two to be in the bottom, but that's what my gut is telling me.
