YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Life Netflix is releasing a new documentary all about dogs By You Magazine - November 1, 2018 Puppy lovers, rejoice! It looks like we’ll be spending even more time watching Netflix this winter as the streaming service has just announced a brand new documentary series all about, you guessed it, dogs. Getty Images The six-part series aptly titled Dogs will highlight just how big of a role the beloved canines play in the lives of humans, while profiling a number of dogs across the world who work in everything from the health services and security, to the glamorous world of fashion. Each of the six episode will be set in different countries including Syria, Japan, Italy and the United States while focusing on six individual stories. The first episode follows New York based therapy dog, Rory who helps an 11-year-old girl who suffers from traumatic seizures. ‘There are more dogs in New York than there are people in the city of Cleveland—and thousands of them are rescues. This episode follows every step of this adoption ecosystem through the charity Hearts and Bones as they go on a rescue mission to bring dogs from a kill shelter in the south to the Big Apple for a better life,’ the description for the episode reads. Other episodes will include a refugee who risked everything to bring his dog Zeus from Syria to Lebanon, an Italian fisherman who relies on his dog to be his business partner and two of the world’s most renowned dog groomers in Japan. Commenting on the show, Dogs co-producer Glenn Zipper said: ‘Dogs don’t just make us feel loved, dogs make us feel safe. In the world we live in today, no matter how divided we are, we should take care to realise how much dogs mean to all of us, and how our bond with them can help bring us together.’ Dogs will be released on Netflix on 16 November.
