YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food This northern pub is paying people to eat Yorkshire puddings By You Magazine - November 1, 2018 In what sounds like the ultimate dream job, a gastropub in Leeds is looking for people to taste Yorkshire puddings and get paid for it. Sound too good to be true? Well it isn’t. Local Leeds pub, The Botanist Trinity, is calling all roast dinner enthusiasts to sample their finest Yorkshire puddings, offering the successful candidate £250 for their time. Getty Images The job is currently being advertised on community platform Airtasker with The Botanist Trinity’s Head Chef, Sebastian, sending a call out to anyone who loves Yorkshire puds or have their eyes firmly set on becoming the next Paul Hollywood. To be in the running, all applicants have to do is share a story of their most memorable roast dinner. Sebastian and his team will then judge each response before picking their favourite one and welcoming their Chief Yorkshire Pudding Tester to the family. View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Botanist (@thebotanistuk) Sebastian’s job description reads: ‘One lucky candidate will be chosen to attend a session at The Botanist Trinity, where you’ll be served a wide range of Yorkshire puddings made using different methods, with gravy of course!. He continues: ‘Your feedback will be used to help our team to continue serving the very best Yorkshire puddings, and settle a few arguments around who’s family recipe really is the best!’ The Botanist Trinity isn’t the first business to offer the public a chance to sample their goods for cash in exchange. Over the summer, Chocolate firm Ferrero – the Italian company behind global brands like Nutella and Kinder – sent out a job vacancy for a Nutella ‘sensory judge’. In other words, hiring someone to taste Nutella and get paid for it. There was a small catch though, the job was in Italy which meant international applicants would have to uproot their lives in the name of chocolate. Well, it’s a small sacrifice really, isn’t it… RELATED ARTICLESMORE FROM AUTHOR Kids can eat for free at these restaurants during October half-term How to make the viral negroni sbagliato with prosecco at home 7 Halloween recipes with serious hex factor Popular in Food Gabriela Peacock 14-day plan Anytime baked eggs May 23, 2021 Joe Wicks’ maple-glazed chicken thighs with Asian slaw June 6, 2021 Mary Berry is returning to TV screens for a brand new June 15, 2021 Eleanor Maidment My summer taste notes July 4, 2021 Uyen Luu’ s sticky mustard marmalade ribs July 25, 2021 Annie Bell’ s white peach bellinis recipe August 8, 2021 M& S has launched a new crunchy Caramilk-inspired golden chocolate spread August 24, 2021 Deliciously preserved pickle and jam recipes September 19, 2021 Gordon Ramsay’ s bang bang cauliflower October 3, 2021 Wow right now Clodagh McKenna’ s speedy family dinners October 24, 2021 Popular CategoriesFood2704Life2496Fashion2240Beauty1738Celebrity1261Interiors684 Sign up for YOUMail Thanks for subscribing Please check your email to confirm (If you don't see the email, check the spam box) Fashion Beauty Celebrity Life Food Privacy & Cookies T&C Copyright 2022 - YOU Magazine.
