YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food Marks & Spencer has ended its Dine in for Two £12 meal deal By You Magazine - October 30, 2018 Put away the wine glasses and switch off the oven, because the Marks & Spencer Dine in for Two £12 meal deal is no more. Finance website loveMONEY reports that the deal, which offers shoppers the chance to buy a main, side, dessert and bottle of wine for a set price has been scrapped, and replaced with a third-off discount on a range of items in-store, which will change regularly. Alamy Stock Photo The news comes not long after the cost of the Dine In deal rose from £10 to £12 earlier this year – but now it appears prices will increase even further. LoveMONEY noted that with the new offer, a meal which would previously have set you back £12 for two people could cost you upwards of £16. In fact, the cheapest combination of items from the previous line-up will now cost you £13.02 – so the price has risen regardless. Alamy Stock Photo However, for some, £16 for a two-course meal with wine may still represent good value – especially when you compare it to the cost of dining out for two. Plus, some of the mains are now bigger, meaning you might even get some leftovers for your higher spend. M&S told the site that ‘each month the theme and offer will change, inspiring and allowing customers to discover great quality, innovative new products and to try something new for dinner.’ But customers on social media remain unconvinced. ‘Disappointed that the traditional ‘dine in’ offer is no longer available. New offer is confusing and ultimately more expensive!’ one wrote to the brand on Twitter. Alamy Stock Photo ‘What on earth does your new Dine In offer mean? “Save a 1/3 on our new autumn dishes”. Is it not just £10 or £12 now?’ another asked. ‘Have you got to work out the cost yourself with no prices on there?’ In its responses, M&S say that it will pass on the feedback to the team, so we may see the return of the beloved meal deal in future. In the meantime, other supermarkets still have similar offers available. Tesco’s Finest Meal Deal for Two and Asda have an Extra Special Meal Deal both still cost £10 – so there are more affordable options out there on the shelves… RELATED ARTICLESMORE FROM AUTHOR Kids can eat for free at these restaurants during October half-term How to make the viral negroni sbagliato with prosecco at home 7 Halloween recipes with serious hex factor Popular in Food Gabriela Peacock 14-day plan Anytime baked eggs May 23, 2021 Joe Wicks’ maple-glazed chicken thighs with Asian slaw June 6, 2021 Mary Berry is returning to TV screens for a brand new June 15, 2021 Eleanor Maidment My summer taste notes July 4, 2021 Uyen Luu’ s sticky mustard marmalade ribs July 25, 2021 Annie Bell’ s white peach bellinis recipe August 8, 2021 M& S has launched a new crunchy Caramilk-inspired golden chocolate spread August 24, 2021 Deliciously preserved pickle and jam recipes September 19, 2021 Gordon Ramsay’ s bang bang cauliflower October 3, 2021 Wow right now Clodagh McKenna’ s speedy family dinners October 24, 2021 Popular CategoriesFood2704Life2496Fashion2240Beauty1738Celebrity1261Interiors684 Sign up for YOUMail Thanks for subscribing Please check your email to confirm (If you don't see the email, check the spam box) Fashion Beauty Celebrity Life Food Privacy & Cookies T&C Copyright 2022 - YOU Magazine.
