YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Celebrity Meghan Markle has revealed the one healthy habit she’ s followed since childhood By You Magazine - October 19, 2018 Earlier this week, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced the happy news that they would be welcoming their first royal baby in spring 2019 – and now Meghan has given a candid insight into how she’s dealing with the first stages of her pregnancy. During an official engagement at Bondi Beach on the couple’s current royal tour, where they are visiting Australia, followed by New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga, the Duchess of Sussex met fellow expectant mum Charlotte Connell, and revealed that her little one is already managing to keep her up at night. Getty Images ‘Meghan told me that pregnancy was like having jet lag,’ Connell, 35, told reporters after their encounter, according to Sky News. ‘She said she was up at 4:30 a.m. this morning doing yoga in her room as she couldn’t sleep.’ However, yoga isn’t something that the former Suits actress has taken up recently – she’s a long-time advocate of the practice, thanks to her mother Doria Ragland, who has been a trained instructor since Meghan was a child. ‘Yoga is my thing,’ Meghan told Best Health Magazine in a cover interview from 2016. ‘My mom is a yoga instructor, and I started doing mommy-and-me yoga with her when I was seven.’ Getty Images ‘I was very resistant as a kid,’ she added. ‘But she said, “Flower, you will find your practice – just give it time.” In college, I started doing it more regularly.’ Meghan also told the title that she’d previously favoured running as part of her regular exercise regime, but her schedule got in the way: ‘I used to run all the time, but I typically get picked up for work at 4:15 in the morning on a Monday, so there isn’t much time for jogging and I would rather have that extra hour of sleep.’ Amen to that, Meghan.
