Getty Images Taking the humble mac & cheese, M&S has done the unthinkable and served up the classic cheesy side dish sandwiched between two thick slices of sourdough bread for the ultimate double-carb lunch. Claire Hodgson M&S Café Developer said: ‘Taking months to develop, this Mac & Cheese Toastie is truly out of this world and perfect for the upcoming cooler months. Available now in over 350 cafés up and down the country – this first on the high-street cheesy goodness is not to be missed!’ Attracting a staggering over 1,000 comments on Instagram, M&S fans are already salivating at the mere sight of the M&S mac & cheese toastie: ‘this is so us,’ wrote one; ‘this will be our next date day,’ wrote another, tagging their friend.
