For Hollywood star Julianne Moore, it’s a particular mascara that she has stayed loyal to for two decades and much to our surprise, it’s an affordable high street buy. Getty Images Speaking to InStyle about her beauty must haves, the 58-year-old actress revealed that she is obsessed with L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara, so much so that she has been using it for the past 20 years. ‘L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara. I swear to god, I started using it 20 years ago and it’s still the best mascara,’ she told the publication. And she certainly isn’t the only celebrity fan. The classic mascara is also loved by the likes of Kim Kardashian and her trusted make-up artist Mario Dedivanovic, who have also raved about the budget product for years. For those who aren’t familiar, the mascara is priced at just £6.99 on Amazon and is designed to make your lashes look visibly thicker and longer – both of which it does successfully, if its celebrity fans are anything to go by. What makes this particular wand so magic? The formula includes two key ingredients: ceramide R, which works to make lashes strong, smooth and full, and the vitamin panthenol, which conditions and protects. The mascara is suitable for sensitive eyes as well as contact lens wearers, and can be easily removed with normal eye make-up remover, leaving your eyes sting and stain-free. ‘This is the best mascara ever produced,’ one Amazon review read. ‘[It] goes onto the lashes really smoothly with no clumps but also I have exceptional short lashes which this mascara really adds length to due to the ceramide.’ Another similarly added: ‘I have been using this mascara for many years, the packaging remains unchanged which is great for once . . I have tried them all and this mascara does not clump and looks very natural. Also easy to remove.’ Sounds like it really is a timeless classic.
