While takeaways are enjoyable, they can be rather costly, meaning they’re usually only suitable for the occasional treat. Meal deals on the other hand will bring you all the taste and ease along with an impressive price tag. Marks & Spencer, for example, has been wowing foodie fans with its well-priced M&S dine-in meal deals for a while now. Getty Images However, there’s now a new meal deal option available – and rumour has it, it’s just as good as (if not better than) the winning M&S range. The limited edition meal deal is available until 31 August and features a selection of delicious Taste The Difference mains, sides, puddings and drinks — all for the extremely thrifty price of £12. For example, for mains, we like the look of the Beer Battered Cod Fillets or the Chicken & King Prawn Paella, which comes with spicy chorizo in a rich tomato sauce, along with sweet peppers and paella rice. Standout sides include the Garlic & Parsley Sourdough Baguette, which is a sophisticated take on garlic bread, and the Triple Cooked Chips, which you just can’t go wrong with. Sainsbury’s To top it all off, there are some great desserts and drinks, which your meal wouldn’t be complete without! Choose from the likes of a St Clements Cheesecake Slice or the White Chocolate & Raspberry Cheesecake Slice for pudding, and fill your glass with a touch of Pinot or Rioja on the side. As mentioned, the new deal is only available on a trial run until 31 August, but fans are hoping it may be extended. ‘I’m excited for this, hope it stays longer,’ said one on Facebook. Speaking about the new deal, Frances Hughes, Category Planner, Food for Later at Sainsbury’s, explained: ‘We’re excited to announce our brand new ‘dine in’ meal deal, which not only offers customers great value, but also showcases the premium quality and standout taste of the Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference range. We’ve put customer feedback at the heart of this launch.
