YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Celebrity This is why Holly Willoughby refuses to talk about her weight By You Magazine - April 8, 2019 Holly Willoughby is not only a style inspiration, but a role model to many women in the UK, which is why she is careful about what she uses her platform to promote. As a result, she has never been one to discuss her weight or diet – and now, the This Morning presenter has revealed that this has been a deliberate decision. Getty Images In an interview with The Sunday Times Magazine, Holly explained why she opts to never comment on her diet or exercise regime, saying: ‘I don’t think it’s helpful to the conversation, for women generally. As long as you are healthy and happy, that’s really all that matters.’ She continued: ‘It’s a personal thing for me, and I think that people get obsessive with it.’ Holly, who is a mother to three children – her boys Harry and Chester, and daughter Belle – with husband Daniel Baldwin, then revealed that her choice to stay clear of the conversation was confirmed after years of interviewing parents who had lost their children to eating disorders on This Morning. ‘On this show I’ve sat across the sofa from mums and dads who’ve lost children to anorexia, or their children are currently going through it, and they sit there and say, “It doesn’t help that there’s such a fascination with weight at the moment,” she continued. Getty Images However, when it come to fashion, Holly admitted that personally, she isn’t ‘brilliant’ but instead hailed her stylist Angie Smith, who she has been working with since 2015. Giving Angie the credit for her rise as a style icon, she said the stylist is always urging her to get her legs out which ‘changed everything.’ ‘She was like having a really good friend who just pushed you in a different direction,’ she said. Sounds like we need an Angie in our lives too!
