Bio-Oil Dry Skin Gel, £4.99 for 50ml, Boots The development of the new line was led by Bio-Oil’s led by its co-owner and head of R&D, David Letschert. ‘We set ourselves a huge challenge to disrupt the dry skin category with a breakthrough formulation that was not only as occlusive as possible to prevent moisture leaving the skin, but also packed full of highly effective, actively moisturising ingredients,’ he said of the new launch. ‘We are extremely proud of Bio-Oil Dry Skin Gel and look forward to supporting the millions of dry skin sufferers across the world with our first ever new product.’ The preliminary results speak for themselves – two thirds of those who trailed the gel-oil hybrid said that it is better than any other product that have used previously to target dry skin, which is no mean feat. 82% of testers reported that they saw a difference in just two days, and 96% agreed that ‘a little goes a long way’ – so just one pot could last you throughout the long, cold winter months and beyond.
