YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food Aldi is launching a ‘ hangover free’ organic rosé prosecco and it’ s less than £10 By You Magazine - September 17, 2018 Getty Summer may be over now but that doesn’t mean you won’t spend some of your darker evenings curled up with a fine glass of prosecco, does it? Of course not. Now, though, you may be drinking a different kind of prosecco. This week news came that Aldi, the German discount supermarket that seems to be able to sell everything good for a fraction of typical prices, has announced that from the 1st of October 2018 you’ll be able to purchase an organic rosé ‘hangover-free’ prosecco and it costs just £7.99. Sourced from the Corvezzo family’s 150-hectare estate, 30 km north-east of Venice, the wine is produced without the use of pesticides or herbicides and all the grapes are hand picked. Now, of course, we can’t guarantee that you won’t be hangover-free upon drinking the beverage, however it’s widely thought that nasties in drinks, aka the pesticides and herbicides, are the things that cause the reaction. Without these, there’s every chance you won’t suffer. Talking of the new drink, a spokesperson for Aldi commented to Prima: ‘The new launch is in response to the rise of health-conscious consumerism, which has seen demand for organic and no added sulphur options hit an all-time high this year.’ This is a market space Aldi is already peddling and succeeding in. The new rosé prosecco comes in addition to the organic line Aldi already sells. It currently has a majority 5-star rating on its review page with users writing the likes of: ‘The best prosecco we’ve found anywhere’, ‘amazing prosecco for the price. Nice and dry and perfect ice cold’ and ‘light, crisp and dry. I won’t be buying prosecco from anywhere else’. Will the organic rosé prosecco prove just as popular? Time will tell but one thing we’re hoping for next is natural, unfiltered wine. How very 2018 of us.
