While the style isn’t new new (hints of it have been seen in lines from J.W.Anderson, Jimmy Choo and YSL for the last couple of years), this autumn it has inflitrated almost every store’s new season drop – and fashion insiders are certainly not complaining. Charles & Keith The block heels, which come in a range of heights and geometric shapes, may look like they just waltzed straight off a catwalk (while defying the laws of gravity, we might add), but once you slide them on, they’re surprisingly easy to wear for everyday. Team with a midi skirt or skinny cigarette pants for the office, dress them down with jeans at the weekend, and go all out bold with a statement dress for a big event, for instance. As for whether they might be more comfortable than their stiletto counterparts? Ultimately it’s down to the individual wearer – although personally we have always found that the wider the surface area, the sturdier the heel… So, ready to shop?
