YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food A chocolate festival is coming to a city near you By You Magazine - August 20, 2018 Love chocolate? You’ll be excited about this, then. A festival dedicated to the creamy, sweet stuff is coming to the UK and it offers you the chance to eat as much of it as you like. The brainchild of the people behind The Great British Gin Festival and Rum and Reggae Festival, The Fantastical Chocolate Festival promises ‘a day of delectable confectionary, singalong live music and chocolatiers’. Getty Images Enter the festival, and you’ll see stacks of chocolate taking all different forms. You’ll be able to sip hot chocolates and milkshakes, dive into fondues, drink chocolate alcoholic cocktails, oogle at chocolate statues and speak to real chocolatiers who have dedicated their careers to this glorious food. And, you won’t just be sampling either – you can get involved in classes too. During the festival, you will actually have the opportunity to do arts and crafts and make your own statue to give those chocolatiers a run for their money. Getty Images Go with a group of friends and you can make a real trip of it and visit the themed photo booths so you have Insta-worthy evidence of your day. Or, if you’re visiting with your children, ‘Willy Wonka inspired characters [will] keep the kids (and big kids) entertained all day’. The festival will be touring the UK from October 2018 until April 2019 and is going to the main cities as well as smaller ones. Currently, tickets are on sale for the following destinations: Liverpool, Birmingham, Salisbury, Bristol, Brighton, Cardiff, Oxford, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Stoke-on-Trent, Southampton, Chichester, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Cheltenham, Edinburgh, Woking, Leicester and London. Tickets cost just £6 and sessions are split into two slots – afternoon or evening. If you fancy eating your body weight in chocolate (who doesn’t?), you can visit the festival’s official Facebook page here to apply for tickets. Do be quick though, some of the dates are already sold out.
