Gemma Day Gemma Day I’ve loved the ‘little bear from darkest Peru’ since I was a child – I even love marmalade because of him! Last Halloween I was going to dress up as him but realised he’s not at all scary. I still have the red hat, blue duffel coat and wellington boots, ready to wear. Gemma Day This radio cost £45 on Ebay. I listen to Radio 4 and LBC all day, every day. I love how radio can really connect with you. The other night I was making supper while listening to a programme about dementia – by the end of it I was sobbing. Gemma Day I adore hairbands – I have loads and wear them all the time. My style is quite classic: I like to look cute and girly. People say they are prim, but that’s me! By nature, I’m quite scatty and messy so I work hard to keep all my accessories in order. Gemma Day I’m completely Abba-obsessed. I’ve collected records since I was 11 – I nip into charity shops to find them. I like owning things that have already had a life. My friends, who know me very well, gave me this Greatest Hits album for Christmas. Gemma Day My stepfather Bernard gave me this necklace for my 21st birthday. It’s a sovereign coin from 1901, the final year of Queen Victoria’s reign. He wore it as a ring then turned it into a necklace for me. I love that it’s so traditional but also trendy. Gemma Day I love Marmite. I banged on about it so much in interviews and on social media that they sent me this personalised pot. I have it on toast every morning, often with poached eggs, or I dip Marmite soldiers into boiled eggs. Gemma Day This photo was taken about 20 years ago near Marbella, where my grandparents had a villa. It’s of me with my mum, two aunties, nanny and grandparents. I love our family dinners – we’re that loud family that often clears out a restaurant. Gemma Day Miss Dior is the first fragrance I ever wore. My mum got it for me when I was about 12 and I’ve stuck with it ever since. It’s floral and sweet, which I’d like to think is quite like me. I hope people smell it and think of me.
